So what's a girl to do without her favorite lunch buddies on her birthday a couple of thousand of miles away? :( How about ordering some nice blue skies, having the in-laws come in for our first family visitors and our dear friend Laure from Paris and heading to Brugge. Voila! A fun day in store indeed!
The hubby and I had been many moons ago, but it was fun to revisit and share it with our kids and parents. A canal ride, lots of chocolate, drinks at the cafe as the horse drawn carriages whirled by... it was a great way to bring in a new year!
