I read an article at the end of 2012 about a new branch of the Louvre opening in northern France. Turns out it's just 1.5 hours from my house, so I gathered my art-loving friends and we had to check it out!

I just read that one of the most famous pieces at the museum, Delacroix's Liberty Leading the People , was defaced last week. I hope there aren't repercussions as far as the accessibility of the artwork. What a shame!
