Marrakech, Morocco {Part 1}

We're upping the adventure level the next couple of posts as we dive into a new continent: Africa! Marrakech has long been on my bucket list and we thought we'd take advantage of living just a 3.5 hour flight away and check that puppy off :) And it certainly was an adventure! Starting with some incorrect flights (Only discovered a few days before) to a mild peanut reaction to the VERY FIRST BITE of food taken at our riad when we arrived (my son is allergic) to traveling 16 hours over 2 days to the desert & back with at least 2 family members with tummy troubles... I can't say it was all rainbows and unicorns! But it certainly was a trip we'll always remember with lots of great memories and unique experiences. I'll let the pictures do the talking! We checked into our riad, which was FABULOUS. A riad is a traditional Moroccan house or palace with an inner courtyard. It provides a cool, quiet respite from the craziness that zooms around outside of the walls. We stayed in 2 different ones on this trip and they both were amazing.. I think they all are, based on reports from my friends that went as well, so if you go, you'll stay in one equally as enjoyable and divine I'm sure.
