Last May, we visited Rome for my 3rd time with our friends from Texas. We started in the Italian Riviera and then took a train to the Eternal City, which was a bit of an adventure in itself. We tried to make the trip fun for two 10 year olds, a mom who was brand new to Rome and me, a 3-timer. I think we succeeded and all had a great time! We saw a lot of the must-sees and did a few things for me as well..
One of the best things we did was get a private guide that was great with kids. We chose Katja at RomeTourswithKids and she was great! We spent a 1/2 day around Ancient Rome on a lovely sunny day, during which she did GREAT with the girls. Then she helped set us up with a pizza making restaurant near Piazza Navona, which was such fun!
